Murder in College Admissions

Murder in College Admissions August 3 It is our position at Ivy Coach that we contributed to the drop in crime within New York City in the 1990s. Allow us to explain. Weve said it before on the pages of this college admissions blog. But well say it again. We prevent murder at Ivy Coach. In the 1990s, New York City experienced a drop in murders. Many attribute this drop in murders to the application of what at the time were new policies, like Broken Windows Policing as an example. Were not going to debate the merits (or pitfalls) of Broken Windows Policing nor will we debate the argument that the reason for the crime drop was due to Roe v. Wade, the legalization of abortion (with the well-reasoned argument being that some of the children who would have grown up to become criminals were never born). In fact, if you want to hear a speech about this topic, we encourage you to watch this latest season of Orange Is The New Black. The speech in Orange Is The New Black, a show produced by Lionsgate Television, was actually inspired by another show owned  by Lionsgate Television, one our own Brian put together  for the studio that later sold to NBC. But keep in mind that Ivy Coach began working with students in New York City (we subsequently expanded to working with students all over the world) in the early 1990s. And since college admissions is a very stressful process, one could make the argument that we are part of the reason for the crime drop in the 1990s. We prevented parents from murdering their children and we prevented children from murdering their parents. Yes, we know how stressful the college admissions process can get. We know how much screaming there can be. We know how many doors can be slammed. As a word of advice, have a carpenter on speed dial. But, for our clients, they dont need that carpenter on speed dial because we serve as a buffer. We relieve that stress. We take away much of that anxiety by serving as a buffer between parents and their children. We let each party know what the correct course of action is, so there is no guess work. So there are no differences of opinion. So prevent a murder within your family. Save a life. Fill out our free consultation form today to inquire about Ivy Coachs services. We look forward to hearing from you as we continue to strive to keep murder rates low in New York City as well as around the world (since we work with families around the world). And, yes, we are acutely aware this blog is quite silly. Deal with it. We need to mix things up every now and then. After all, we write about college admissions every day.
